Mrs. Mary Alice Simpson Crook, 99, of Garden City, GA, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.

She was born in Rowan County, NC to the late Paul A. Simpson & Mary Anna Lippard Simpson.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lee F. Crook, and her sister, Virgie Lucille Simpson.  Mary was raised in Salisbury, NC and was a 1939 graduate of Mt. Airy, NC High School.  She was a member of the Lutheran Church of The Good Shepherd and was a master seamstress.

Survivors include her children, Sam & Bonnie Crook of Statesboro, GA, Susan & Tom Brown of Garden City, GA; grandchildren, Jeffrey & Christi Brown of Savannah, GA, Steven & Poppy Brown of Pooler, GA; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Lauren, & Ryan; sister, Wilma Hancock of Supply, NC, as well as a loving extended family.

The visitation will be on Friday, July 1, 2022 at the Lutheran Church of The Good Shepherd from 10:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. with the celebration of Mary's life to follow at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary.  A private family burial will be held at a later date.

Remembrances may be given to the Lutheran Church of The Good Shepherd, 41 Main Street, Garden City, GA 31408 in Mary's honor.
