Pooler-Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Smiley Boyd, 87, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Westview Nursing Home.
Mrs. Boyd was born in Blackshear to the late Robert & Alice Smiley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ivison V. Boyd. She was a member of Westside Christian Church in Bloomingdale. Her pleasure in life was taking care of others, especially her own family.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Connie & Joseph Fountain and their children, Richard Smiley, Terri Smiley Liverman and Cortney Morris; daughter, Bonnie I. Wilson and her children, Melinda Pye Schuman (Gregg) and Robin Pye Ketcham (Kevin); son, Eulie I. Boyd and his sons, Bradford I. Boyd and Adam N. Boyd; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, 901 W. Hwy. 80 in Pooler.
Funeral: 11:30 a.m. on Saturday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
