Mrs. Mary Lorene Webb, 88, of Nevils, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022.

Mrs. Lorene was born in Eastman, Georgia to the late Vance and Della Mae Phillips.  She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Wilbur Joshua Dowd, her second husband, Calvin Slater, and a brother, Jimmy Phillips.  She was a former member of Rothwell Baptist Church in Pooler and a current member of Trinity Baptist Church in Nevils.  She enjoyed shopping, needlecraft, painting, and fishing.  She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, Calvin Webb; four sons and daughters-in-law, Mike Dowd (Natasha), Terry Dowd (Betty), David Dowd (Kay), and Jason Dowd (Kristie); eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; sister, Vancine Jones (Billy); step-children, Rich Webb (Tammie), Corky Webb, and Larry Webb and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

The visitation will be on Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 3 until 4 p.m. at the funeral home.  The funeral to honor Lorene's life will follow at 4 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery.
