Mrs. Mary Eva Wendelken
Rincon- Mrs. Mary Eva Lightsey Wendelken, passed away on May 1, 2014 peacefully at Westview Nursing Home.
Born in Bloomingdale, GA on October 27, 1924 to the late Claude R. and Nellie Maebell Lightsey. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Wendelken; daughter, Sandra Smith; two grandchildren; step-son, Ray R. Wendelken; step-daughter, Ramona "Kiki" Wendelken. She was a member of North Salem Baptist Church.
Mary is survived by her children, Kenneth R. Wendelken (Sheryl) of Clyo, Raymond Michael Wendelken of Savannah, and Beverly Diane Smithey (Greg) of Rincon; step-son, Charles Gary Wendelken of Savannah; step-daughter-in-law, Betty R. Wendelken of Jackson, GA; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and special friends, Melba Coats and Joan Osteen.
Visitation: 1-2:30 pm Saturday, May 3, 2014 in the funeral home.
Graveside Service: 3 pm Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Goshen United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dan Bryant officiating.
