Mary Faye Wilson

Mrs. Mary Faye Wilson, 81, of Meldrim, Georgia, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026 at her home.

Faye will be missed by her daughters, Joan Slater (James) and Jean Purnell (Ronnie); grandchildren, Ashlie Genens, Austin Purnell (Tiffany), Jared Slater (Chasteen), and Jill Mathis (Bradley); great-grandchildren, Brittany Woods (Brandon), Ciara Genens (Ben), Carsyn Genens, Brady Purnell, Brooks Purnell, Banks Purnell, Penelope Slater, and Piper Slater; great-great-grandchildren, Landyn Woods, Graham Woods, and Baby Griffin Hall due in July, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

Faye was born in Pooler, Georgia and had lived in Meldrim for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Jefferson “Jeff” Wilson; parents, Leon and Ruth Parker; siblings, Billy Parker, Betty Frost, Lawanna Howard, and Ann Pickard. She graduated from Groves High School, was a homemaker, and was a member of The Meldrim Church.

The visitation will be on Thursday, May 14, 2026 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The funeral to honor Faye’s life will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Meldrim.
