Matthew Alvis Bottoms

Guyton – Matthew Alvis Bottoms, 37, passed away March 28, 2020 at Effingham Hospital.

The Liberty County native was employed with AAA Cooper Transport. He loved his Lord above all else. He also adored his son, Rhett, and loved spending time with him, playing baseball and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Gilbert Bottoms and Tommie Nett Barnett.

He is survived by his wife, Tabitha Black Bottoms; son, Rhett; brother, Thomas "Tab" Bottoms (Wendy); sister, Amanda Propes (Charles); mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lisa and Fran Black; sister-in-law, Brittany Soriano (Rholie); brother-in-law, Austin Black (Pressley); nieces and nephews, Amber, Katie (Max), J.T., Ethan, Zach, Trevor, Morgan, Ashleigh, Luke, Elijah, and Cameron.

Celebration of life services will be held at a later date following the Covid 19 pandemic.
