Hinesville – Maude V. (Hodges) Screws, 96, January 14, 1922 – April 20, 2018, passed on to the gates of Heaven to join the rest of her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Carrie Hodges; husband, George E. Screws; and son, George A. Screws. She was the last surviving sibling of 11 children, Paul, Gussie, Rosa, Sara, Fred, Preacher, Allie Bell, John, Minnie Lee, and Gene.

She left behind a daughter, Patricia (Harold); two sons, Tommy, and Ricky (Tammy); 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Maude had a passion for her flowers, crocheting, and fishing. She will be forever loved and missed.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. in the chapel.

Interment will follow in the Hodges-Mallette Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, we ask donations be made to Costal Manor Nursing Home, 128 Coastal Manor Dr. S.E., Ludowici, GA 31316.
