Tiger, GA- Maxie Freyermuth Kight, 83, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Northeast Georgia Hospital after a long battle with congestive heart failure and dementia.

Maxie lived most of her life in Effingham County until moving to the mountains of North Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold & Blanche Freyermuth; her three brothers, Don, Ray, & George Freyermuth; and her first husband, Tex K. Rahn.

Maxie leaves behind her husband, Joe Oliff Kight; her two sons, R. Theron Rahn (Terry) and Kevin M. Rahn (Julie); three granddaughters and their husbands, Kara & Tom Richards, Shelby & Josh Schrader, and Jenna & Justin Patrick; a number of great-grandchildren; and her three closest friends, Katheryn Parks, Joy Mitchell, and Connie Newton.

No formal services, with a memorial service to be held at a future time.
