Maxwell Lee Roberds
Rincon – Maxwell Lee Roberds, 74, passed away February 6, 2016 at Candler Hospital.
The South Carolina native retired from Stone Container in 1998 after 39 years. He was a member of Rincon Baptist Temple, and a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Linwood Roberds and Hattie Lee Barnes Roberds.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Haupt Roberds; children, Chris (Laura) Roberds, Tony Roberds, Patrice (David) Crawley; grandchildren, Linwood Roberds, Bailey Morris, and Carolina Crawley; brother, James L. Roberds; sister-in-law, Angela Sergi; nephews, Mike, Alan, and Sean Roberds, and Micheal Sergi.
The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors, and staff at Candler Hospital for the care given to Max.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Rincon Baptist Temple.
Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
