Pooler-Mrs. May Emerald Schilling Paradis, 83, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2015 at her home.
May was born in Bristol, CT to the late George Schilling & Alice Loomis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Colonel Clarence Paradis. She attended the Lady Queen of Peace at Hunter Army Airfield. As a career homemaker, May provided continuous stewardship, guidance, and ever growing love to her 8 children, oftentimes as the sole parent during her husband's required military absences. She was the indispensable bond that kept all together. God Bless you, Mom.
Survivors include her children, Richard Paradis of Pooler, GA, Larry Paradis of Palm Harbor, FL, Bruce Paradis of Chicoppe Falls, MA, Alice Nelson (deceased), Ray Paradis of Hampden, MA, Barry Paradis of Tampa, FL, Gary Paradis of McKinney, TX, and Debbie Martin of Ashburn, VA; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church located at 501 S. Coastal Hwy. in Port Wentworth.
