Mrs. Melba Hutchinson, 83, of Bloomingdale, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024.

Melba was born in Guyton, Georgia and was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney Coleman and Pauline Faircloth Coleman, her husband, Larsen Lanier Hutchinson, and sisters, Christine Coleman and Marsha Purifoy.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Holy Church of God on Little Neck Road.  She loved to bake and cook, and will be remembered for being a kind, sweet lady who loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Ronnie Lanier Hutchinson, Sr. (Heather); grandchildren, Dustin Hutchinson (Krystal), Ashley Clarke (Jason), Naomi Jameson, Ronnie Hutchinson, Jr. and Killian (last name); five great-grandchildren; sister, Carol Burson; brothers, Lamar Coleman and Ludine Coleman, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The graveside funeral and burial to honor Melba's life will be on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Marlow Cemetery located in the Marlow community of Effingham County.
