Melissa Cushman

Springfield - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Melissa Cushman, born on July 6, 1972, who departed this world on July 25, 2024, after a courageous four-year battle with cancer.

Melissa was a beloved member of her community, known for her warm spirit and dedication. Her coworkers at McDonald's often spoke of her kindness and infectious laughter, which brightened the workplace. An exceptional cook, she had a passion for creating delicious meals that brought joy to those around her.

Beyond her work, Melissa found solace and inspiration in the ocean and expressed her creativity through art. Her love for the sea reflected her free spirit, while her artistic endeavors showcased her vibrant personality.

She leaves behind her cherished daughters, Ariel, Jade and her loving partner, Matthew, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts. Melissa's legacy of love, strength, and creativity will continue to inspire all who knew her.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, August 10th at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home 2460 Hwy 21 S. Rincon,GA 31326
