Mrs. Merrill A. Henry
Pooler-Mrs. Merrill A. Henry, 93, died on Saturday, April 7, 2007 at Savannah Cottages.
Mrs. Henry was born in Alabama and had lived in Chatham County for many years. She
was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her
husband, William P. Henry. She retired from the Chatham County Board of Education as
a Secretary in the transportation office.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Sheila Strickland of Riceboro, Patricia
Crawford of Savannah, David Stelts of Rome, Fred Stelts, Jr. of Charleston, SC, Jim Ford
of Bluffton, SC, William Swinson of Pooler, David and Jim Cook, both of California.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Graveside Funeral: 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery on Wheaton
Street.
