Sylvania – Michael Lynwood Barber, Sr., 67, passed away June 7, 2023 at his residence.

The Chatham County native retired from International Paper.  He loved hunting, fishing, golf, and playing music.  He attended First Baptist Church of Sylvania with his wife but was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Savannah, GA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Lynwood Barber and Miriam Barnard Barber.

Survivors include his wife, Victoria G. Barber; children, Christina Lyn Barber, Michael Lynwood Barber, Jr. (Amy), and Jonathan Lance Barber (Angelina Nicole); grandchildren, Gracee, Kyndall, Rhett, Jon-Michael, Jameson, and Jaxon; brothers, Ronnie Barber, Ricky Barber (Wendy), and David Barber (Barbara); step-children, Jason Toy, Tarah Browning (Will), Jolee Carerra (Lyle), and Sterling Toy; 13 step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023 followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
