Michael David Britt, Sr. "Mike", 60, of Pooler Georgia, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Memorial Hospital.

Mike was born in Chatham County and was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Beauford Britt and Mildred Amerson, adoptive parents, Fred and Barbara Carter, a son, Michael David Britt, Jr., and his brothers, Tommy Amerson and Timmy Amerson.  Mike served his country in the United States Army before transferring to the National Guard.  He had been employed with ADL Logistics and was a Shriner.  He enjoyed coaching softball, watching the Atlanta Braves, fishing, hunting, and camping.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Sandra Hendley Britt; son, Christopher Britt (Bricelyn); daughter, Ashton Britt; grandchildren, Kayden Fisher, Hailey Tomasino, Kendall Tomasino, and Trevor Tomasino; brother, Bruce Carter; sister, Cindy Stacy, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be on Friday, December 22, 2023 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.  The memorial service to honor Mike's life will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Ross Harrison officiating.
