Michael "Mike" DeFilippis, 57, of Townsend, passed away unexpectantly on Friday, September 28, 2018 at his home.

Mike grew up and lived most of his life in Pooler.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Al & Betsy DeFilippis.  He was employed with Thyssen Krupp Elevator Company for over 30 years.  He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and watching the GA Bulldogs play football.

Survivors include two daughters, Kristen Corbitt (J.T.) and Whitney Barnard (Adam); grandchildren, Wyatt Corbitt and Kolbie Barnard; brothers, Sonny DeFilippis (Susan) and Tony DeFilippis; uncle and aunt, Jake & Jackie Mullins, also a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery.
