Michael Earl Hudson, Jr.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Earl Hudson Jr., our beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Michael passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 21st, 2026.

Michael Earl Hudson Jr was born on March 20, 1961. The son of Michael Earl Hudson Sr (Mickey) and Nancy Hansford Hudson. He was preceded to our Lord by both of his parents. He leaves his dearly loved family: his daughter Hilary Booth (Brandon), son Michael Cole Hudson, son Tyler Hudson (Megan), brother Tim Hudson (Kay), brother Mike Hudson (Jeannie), sister Dana Hudson, 3 grandchildren (Hudson Booth, River Hudson and Saylor Hudson), as well as nieces, nephews, and life long friend who will continue to honor his legacy through dedication to one another.

In life, whether you knew him as Michael, Mike, Dad, Pa or Papa Mike, you knew you were getting a man of strong character. He was quiet and humble, letting his actions speak louder than his words.

He lived a life that reflected Colossians 3:23-24. He believed that to take pride in your work you must do every job right. Whether at Georgia Pacific, where he loyally worked for 35 years, or his endless pursuit around his garage on anything with wheels that he could make faster, he took pride in hard work.

Mike loved his country, his Bulldawgs and most of all he loved his family. He loved his kids and adored his grandkids. Though he left us much too soon, he leaves behind a legacy of kindness, humility and quiet strength. He lived right, loved well and that is a life well remembered.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at the Strickland Funeral Home, 2460 Hwy. 21 S., Rincon, GA 31326.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
