Michael Reece Hill (Mike) passed away February 7, 2021. He grew up in Bloomingdale GA and was the 2 nd oldest of 4 children. Mike spent most of his years working in a local shipyard, Intermarine USA, as a millwright, where he helped build and launch the MHC 51 Osprey. He was well known for his mechanic abilities and welding skills. He could fix anything, heavy equipment, boats, cars, trucks, semi-trucks, and small engines. He was known as a dedicated hard worker that took pride in what he did. He also loved country music and NASCAR. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
He is proceeded in death by his father, Reece Hill; his mother, Mary Pittman; and his sister, Robin Hill.
Survivors include his daughter, Linda Stokes (Travis) of Bloomingdale GA; son, Joshua Hill (Brandi) of Dumfries VA.; 4 granddaughters, Kaylee Stokes, Aubree Stokes, Presley Hill and Parker Hill; brother, Joseph Hill of Bloomingdale GA; sister, Wanda Holland (Brian) of Guyton GA; and several nieces. Honorably mentioned, long time friends, Ruben Smith and Glenn Hodges.
Honorary pallbearers are Eddy Hackle JR, Eddy Hackle III, Wiley Price, Matthew King, Eugene Coursey, and Randy Hackle.
The viewing and visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at the funeral home.
The funeral to honor Michael's life will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2021 in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery in Bloomingdale, Georgia.
All CDC and social distancing guidelines will be in place including the wearing of masks (Chatham County Mandate).
