Mr. Michael A. Schuman, Sr., 82, of Bloomingdale, Georgia, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Michael was born in Savannah, Georgia and was preceded in death by his wife, Madeline Carol Schuman; parents, Lawrence Lee Schuman, Sr. and Betty Jeannette Ulmer Schuman. He retired from Gulfstream, enjoyed watching Nascar and Judge Judy. He enjoyed gardening, making peanut brittle, pecan pie, and deviled crab. He will be remembered for his kindness, for his willingness to do anything to help anyone, and for the love that he had for his grandchildren.
Survivors include his children, Michael Schuman, Jr. (Amanda), Hugh Kesler (Tammy), Eddie Kesler (Connie), Pam Anderson (John-deceased), and Mikey Kesler (Michael); siblings, Lawrence Lee Schuman, Jr. "Larry" (Rita), Patricia Gail Sharpe (Louis-deceased), Kenneth J. Schuman (Sally), Charles N. Schuman (Martha), and Betty Jeannette Whitted (Jack); grandchildren, Hugh Kesler, Jefferey Kesler, Dusty Kesler, Kristina Reagan, Michael Shropshire, Summer Woo, John Anderson, Eddie Kesler, Chris Kesler, Erica Kesler, Cheznie Schuman, Zachary Schuman, Noah Schuman, and Aden Patton; many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be on Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral to honor Michael's life will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Pastor Jonathan Phillips will be officiating and the pallbearers will be Michael Shropshire, Dusty Kesler, Hugh Kesler, John Anderson, Zachary Schuman and Noah Schuman.
