Michael Sibilio, Sr.
Guyton – Michael Sibilio, Sr. , 70, passed away May 5, 2017 at Effingham Hospital.
The Massachusetts native was a U.S. Navy veteran having served in Vietnam. He retired from the U.S. Post Office as Postmaster after 42 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying boating, fishing, and camping with his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Viola Jenkins Sibilio; brother, Emilio Sibilio; sister, Margie Ochu.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Linda Marie Hunter Sibilio; children, Kelli Sibilio-Dye (Ashley Parker), Michael Sibilio, Jr. (Brittony Perkins Sibilio), Anthony Paul Sibilio (Maria Cueva Sibilio); grandchildren, William Matthew Dye, Nicholas Michael Dye, Gabriel Emile Sibilio, Naomi Dawn Sibilio, Alexander Kipling Sibilio, Cynthia Marie Sibilio, Logan Paul Sibilio, Anthony Lucas Sibilio, Ricardo Marrero, Luis Alfonso Marrero; siblings, Paul Sibilio, Jr., Sharon Brown, Karen Sullivan, Rudy Sibilio; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel.
Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
