Michael Lee Witt, Sr.
Rincon – Michael Lee Witt, Sr., 49, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Effingham Hospital.
The South Carolina native served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the V.F.W. He was a Deputy with Effingham County Sheriff's Department, member of the P.O.A.G., and the P.B.A. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Ella Doster Witt.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa W. Witt; children, Michael Lee Witt, Jr., Anna Gaccione, Mark Bartholomew, Jr., Crystal Ann Bartholomew, and Nathaniel Witt; his father, Nathan Witt; and sister, Mary Ellen Witt.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Graveside funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Effingham Memorial Gardens. The funeral procession will be leaving from the funeral home at 10:45 a.m., anyone wishing to be in line should be here by 10:30 a.m.
