Garden City – Mrs. Mildred Burgess Crager, 87, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, August 22, 2018. She was born to Stanley and Dessie Burgess on November 14, 1930. She had been married to the love of her life, Roy Crager for 66 years.
Mrs. Crager was born in Savannah and lived most of her adult life in Garden City, Georgia. She worked at C&S Bank for many years, as a teller. "She was very good at handling that money". Her joys were going to church, traveling with her husband, playing cards, watching a Braves game and fixing Sunday lunch for the family.
She is survived by her husband, Roy Crager; daughters, Sharon Bethune (Don), Wanda Thomas (Rick); and son, Michael Crager (Jeanne). Also, 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; her brother, Gerald Burgess (Lois); and sister, Ann Cowart (Jim); and many other family members.
She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law and sister, Bill and Frances Drinkwater; son-in-law, Fred Collins; and a granddaughter, Jillian Crager.

Visitation: 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 9:30 a.m. on Saturday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 315 Greenwich Road, Savannah, GA 31404.
