Mrs. Mildred Juanita "Nita" Smith, 73, of Rincon, and formerly of Pooler, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Candler Hospital.

She was born in Ellabell to the late Edward Eugene Lowe and Lorena Coleman Lowe.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, James E. Smith.  She was an active member of Maranatha Family Church in Rincon, and she retired from the Chatham County Board of Education.

Survivors include her daughter, Brenda J. Boyer; her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Tracy Smith; grandchildren, Blake, Ryan, Hunter, Brandon, and Victoria; nieces, Claudia and Kimberly Lowe; brother, Ronnie Lowe; sister, Marty Lowe.
