West Chatham Chapel

Garden City-Miss Minnie Lee Phillips, 101, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2009 at
the Bryan County Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Miss Phillips was born in Spartenburg, SC to the late Barney & Jane Phillips. She was a
member of the First Baptist Church of Garden City. She graduated from the Candler
School of Nursing in 1929 and was the oldest living graduate until her death.

Survivors include her nephew, Herman C. Walker (Mildred) of Garden City;
great-nephew, Gary Walker (Judy) of Richmond Hill; a great-niece, Myra Lynn Robbins
of Monroe; great-nephew, Daniel White of Garden City; great-great-nephew, Christopher
Walker (Gina) of Sugar Hill and two great-great-nieces, Laura and Allison Robbins, both
of Monroe.

Visitation: 1-2 p.m. on Thursday in the chapel of the funeral home.

Funeral: 2 p.m. on Thursday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at
Newington Cemetery.
