Obituary

Loganville – Miriam Weaver Jordan, 99, passed away December 5, 2024.

The Effingham County native was a member of Grayson First Baptist Church in Grayson, Georgia.  She was a devoted servant to her Lord and Savior.  Piano and gardening were her passions along with taking care of her family.  She attended grammar and high school in Effingham County where she played basketball.  After high school, she got married to Robert and they later had two beautiful sons, Allen and Andrew.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edward Jordan of 62 years; son, Andrew Bennett Jordan; mother, Anna Jane Wilson Weaver Sikes; father, Henry Grady Weaver; and brothers, Candler Weaver and Dewey Sikes.

Survivors include her son Allen Rene Jordan of Loganville, Georgia; granddaughter, Renee Sandoval of Loganville, Georgia (T.J., Isabella, Emilia); brother, Malcolm "Mac" Weaver of Springfield, Georgia; along with multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, December 6, 2024 at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2024 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will follow in The Church at Turkey Branch Cemetery (formerly Turkey Branch United Methodist Church Cemetery).
