Mitchell Anthony Hinely
Springfield – Mitchell Anthony Hinely, 69, passed away July 9, 2017 at his residence.
The Effingham County native graduated from E.C.H.S. in 1967. He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam aboard the U.S.S. America aircraft carrier. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, served on the property committee, the church council, was a member of Sunday School, and the Harvest Years. He was a member of the Wednesday Setback Club and retired from Arizona Chemical after over 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Clark Hinely and Lois Crapps Hinely; and brother, Stanley Hinely.
Survivors include his wife, Sheila Hursey Hinely; daughter, Staci (Jeff) Ambrose; son, Jason (Adela Arreola) Hinely; grandchildren, Alfredo Arreola, Anthony Arreola, Allison Ambrose, Amber Hinely, and Zachary Ambrose; brother, Charles (Loretta) Hinely; sisters, Lou Nell (Raymond) Kniphfer and Charlotte (Ronnie) Rahn; sister-in-law, Ouida Hinely; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
Interment will follow.
