Monique Rogers
Rincon- On July 29, 2013 Monique went home to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 52. She was surrounded by her loved ones.
Monique was born on February 14, 1961 in Tampa, Florida. She grew up in Deerfield Beach, Florida. She has lived in Rincon and surrounding areas for most of her life. Monique really enjoyed helping others whenever she could and spending time with her son Matt and Michael Garrett. She loved taking them to amusement parks.
One of Monique's greatest accomplishments was in August of 1996 against all odds she created Picture Perfect Framing and Photo Restoration which she successfully grew into an asset to the community, winning 5 national awards with her beautiful shadowboxes. It was also a Christian Bookstore for years because of her love for the Lord and her wanting people to know the Love of God that she knew. Her greatest joy in life was raising her son Matt, she was extremely proud of the young man he had become.
Monique was beloved by all, and will be sorely missed by the community, and by her beloved Yorkies Zoe' and Zena. She was preceded in death by her son, lil Bobby Rogers; her parents, Alice and Bobby Bennett; her brother, Buddy Rogers; nephew, Robbie Moore; and niece, Mandi Allen.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her son Matt Rogers; sisters, Melody Moore (Tom) and Tammy Burnsed (Corbin); brothers, Tony Bennett (Jill), Stevie Bennett ( Rebecca), and Hugh Outler (Laura); nieces and nephews, Jamie Duncan, Stacy Rogers Varney, AnnaLeesa Rogers, Justin Dyson, Dena Sanchez, Dana Marshall, Josh Moore, Victoria & Paul Burke, Loren Bennett, Courtney Carson, Junior, Madison, Kayla, Katelyn and Nathan Burnsed, Brooke & Lane Outler; and other relatives and friends.
Memorial Service: 11 am Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Rincon United Methodist Church. Family will receive friends an hour prior to service.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Effingham Habitat for Humanity, ATTN: Jimmy Rutland, 3605 GA Hwy 21, Rincon, GA 31326 or the Rincon Lions Club, in care of Larry Steese, 295 Indigo Rd., Springfield, GA 31329.
