Mrs. Muriel B. Polk
Pooler-Mrs. Muriel B. Polk, 76, died on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at the Bryan County
Health & Rehab Center.
Mrs. Polk had lived in Chatham County for the past forty-six years and was preceded in
death by her husband, Bernard Z. Polk and a daughter, Deborah E. Martinez. She was a
member of the Dean Forest Baptist Church. She retired from the Corp of Engineers
where she was a secretary of reprographics and had also worked as a secretary at the
Rincon Christian Church for three years.
Survivors include her children, Bonnie L. Roy, Sandra B. Gault, Robert G. "Bud" Will,
Jr., Sharon A. Bearden and Melanie L. Gillikin; seven step-children, fourteen
grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 1 p.m. on Friday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at
Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
