Mrs. Myrtle Carver Smith

Savannah-Mrs. Myrtle Carver Smith, 95, died on Thursday, October 4, 2007 at the
Effingham Extended Care Facility.

Mrs. Smith was born in Adairsville and had lived in Savannah for fifty-one years. She
was a member of the South Gardens Christian Church and enjoyed gardening and
flowers. She and her husband were the former owners/operators of the Town House
Restaurant in Savannah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ward Smith, a son,
Delmas Alvin Smith, her parents, one sister and two brothers.

Survivors include two sons, George Elmer Smith of Savannah and Jerry A. & Becky
Smith of Rincon; daughter-in-law, Joyce Smith of Statesboro; eight grandchildren,
eighteen great-grandchildren, thirteen great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces
and nephews.

Visitation: 6-7:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home and 1:30-2 p.m. on Saturday at the
cemetery.

Funeral: 7:30 p.m. on Friday in the chapel of the funeral home.

Graveside funeral: 2 p.m. on Saturday at Martha Memorial Methodist Church Cemetery
in Pierce County.

Remembrances may be given to South Gardens Christian Church-Seniors Group, 1206
East 68th Street, Savannah, GA 31404.
