Nancy Fulton Jenkins, 95, of Rincon departed this life and went to be with her savior on February 5, 2026, at The Oaks in Pooler, Ga. Nancy was born June 6, 1930, in Savannah, Georgia to the late James W. and Susie Fulton.
Nancy grew up in McIntosh County and in her early years enjoyed living near the water and spending time with her family and friends. She attended Middle Georgia College, then moved back to Savannah and began working as a secretary, a profession she would hold for most of her life, retiring from Union Camp (International Paper) after many years of dedicated service. Shortly after moving to Savannah, she met Robert Jenkins, and they were married in Savannah in 1951. Nancy enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, being with her family, and cooking a hearty southern meal for her friends and loved ones. She enjoyed reading, painting ceramics, watching the Atlanta Braves, and working in her yard tending to flowers, bushes, and cutting grass. She could be found well into her 90’s doing these things she loved.
She was a proud member of the First Baptist Church of Rincon, Ga, for over 40 years, where she served in the nursery for decades and took great pleasure in taking care of the babies and young children there and watching them grow up.
Nancy, like many of her sisters, was known for her smile and laugh. She would always greet you with a smile and hug, and no matter whom you were she would treat you like family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert Earl Jenkins, Sr., and her son, Robert Earl Jenkins, Jr. (Bobby), her Grandson Christopher Rowe, and her 6 sisters and 1 brother. She is survived by; her son, Russ Jenkins (Heather); and her daughter, Kay Jenkins.
