Mrs. Nancy June Mellies, nee Brocaille, 87, passed away into eternal rest on Friday, February 9, 2018.

She was born October 26, 1930 in Pinckneyville, IL. to Henry and Clementine Brocaille nee Crain.

She graduated from Marion High School, Marion, IL in June 1950, before entering nurses training at Independence, MO.  She left nurses training to marry Truman Edward Mellies, November 25, 1951.

Nancy was a homemaker for 17 years, before working as a credit collector.  She retired from Baptist Memorial Hospital in San Antonio, as Supervisor of Collections in 1987.  She was an avid bowler and loved traveling, having visited more than 50 countries and most of the United States.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Diana Lynn Tanner (Mike), Dwain Edward Mellies (Carla) and Dawn Elizabeth Tapley (Jerry); 7grandchildren, as well as fourteen great-grandchildren.

She will be interred with her husband at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX at a later date.
