Pooler – Nancy Kratz Moyer Sevenandt, 86, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020 at her home.

Nancy was originally from Harleysville, Pennsylvania.  She achieved an Elementary Education degree from Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, and departed her hometown in 1957 to become a Department of Defense Educator teaching military children at Nouasseur Air Force Base in Morocco, Africa.  She spent three years living in Casablanca. Here she met her future spouse, Kenneth Sevenandt, a member of the US Air Force.  They married and started their family in Morocco.  During her husband's military career, she moved throughout the United States and also spent 4.5 years in the Philippines.  After his retirement, they settled in Lompoc, California.  In 2017, Nancy and her daughter, Wendy, moved from California to Savannah, Georgia, to live near her daughter, Holly, and only grandchild, Christina. She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth J. Sevenandt; parents, Mark S. Moyer and Gladys S. Kratz of Harleysville, PA; and brother, James Moyer.  Nancy is survived by her daughters, Holly Lewis and Wendy Sevenandt; granddaughter, Christina Lewis; and sister, Evelyn Miller of Philadelphia, PA. Services will be held in Nancy's hometown of Harleysville, Pennsylvania, on Saturday March 21, 2020, at the Indian Creek Church of the Brethren, 821 Main Street, Harleysville, PA, 19438 at 12:00 pm.
