IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nathan J.
Morris
October 18, 1982 – November 30, 2018
Nathan J. Morris
Nathan James Morris was born October 18, 1982, and died at age 36 on Friday, November 30, 2018.
Nathan grew up in Pooler. When he was a child, he and his family attended the Holy Church of God in Savannah. Just before he started middle school, the family moved to Effingham County. Nathan received his first four-wheeler as a Christmas gift at age 12, and at age 36, he still declared that riding a four-wheeler was the most fun he ever had.
Nathan graduated from South Effingham High School (the Mustangs) in 2001. He attended Armstrong briefly and later transferred to Georgia Southern. Nathan always had a job. He worked at auto supply stores, Parker's, and pawnshops. He was a professional commercial and residential painter. His passion was automobiles, and he continued to increase his technical knowledge and expertise with all things automotive. Many people know Nathan from his years at Savannah Tire, where he started as a service representative, moved to service manager, and was recently promoted to the position of manager at the Pooler Parkway location.
Along the way, he added to his extensive network of friends from every aspect of his wide-ranging life. He was sincerely dedicated to all of them. "Nathan was always willing to help whenever you needed it," said one of his friends.
Nathan loved working on fast cars—especially Ford Mustangs—and loved driving them, too. Most of all, he loved his family, his friends, and his dogs. Nathan died while driving to work Friday morning.
Nathan will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his parents, Gary and Janell, his sister, Sara Evans (Russell), his nephews, Ethan and Elliot, and his niece, Kate. Nathan will also be fondly remembered by his grandmother, Latha Morris, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as extended family and dear friends.
