Mr. Nathaniel Harvard Creasy
Port Wentworth-Mr. Nathaniel Harvard Creasy, 81, died on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at
Hospice Savannah.
Mr. Creasy was born in Johnson City, TN and had lived in Port Wentworth for the past
51 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Port Wentworth where he
attended the Pioneer Sunday School Class. He was the owner/operator of a Nautical
Shop and had retired as a ironworker. He served his country during World War II with
the Merchant Marines. In 2006 he was chosen as "Citizen of the Year" for Port
Wentworth and served as Grand Marshall for the 2007 Stand Up For America Day on
April 28th. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Creasy.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years,Vera T. Creasy of Port Wentworth; brothers,
Franklin Creasy of Valdosta and Robert Creasy of Logansville; sister, Hazel Harvey of
Lexington, KY and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 1 p.m. on Friday at the First Baptist Church of Port Wentworth with burial to
follow at Nevils United Methodist Church Cemetery.
