Springfield – Nellie Scott Tomlin, 95, passed away peacefully Monday, July 18, 2022 at Lakeview Manor.

The Effingham County native was a member of Mizpah Church. She had retired from Walgreens after 35 years of service and she was a coin collector for almost 40 years, having served as a national officer in a numismatic association. Nellie loved her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl A. Tomlin; her parents, Louis and Ruby Scott; her sisters, Elizabeth Poole and Ina Dasher; brother, Louis Scott, Jr.; step-daughter, Shirley Tomlin Young; and step-son, Charles R. Tomlin.

She is survived by her brother, Mack Scott; step-daughter, Sandra L. Tomlin; step-daughter-in-law, Wini Tomlin; and numerous other relatives.

Visitation: 10 – 11 am Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Mizpah Church.

Memorial Service: 11 am Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Mizpah Church

Burial in the church cemetery.
