Nona Fortson Joyner

Mrs. Nona Fortson Joyner, 73, of Bloomingdale, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at her home.

Nona will be missed by her son, John Joyner; daughter, Meg Joyner; siblings, Ernie Fortson, Sue Kennedy, Gail Fortson Pomeroy (John), and Jean Fortson, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Nona was born in Savannah, Georgia and has lived in Bloomingdale all of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Joyner; parents, A.P and Angie Fortson; brother, Bryan Fortson. 

The visitation will be on Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 2:30 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeral home. The memorial service to honor Nona’s life will follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.
