Eden - Norine Jones Peth, 85, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2013 in the home of her daughter and son-in-law.
Mrs. Peth retired after fourteen years with Belk and then opened a dress shop in Pooler and Richmond Hill. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and had five generations of children. She loved her church family and was a very active member, a church bus rider, VBS worker and Cook on Wednesday nights. She loved having Sunday dinners for her family until Alzheimer's stole her from us. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Peth, her parents Otis and Rhonella Jones; sisters, Oleta Durrence, Erma Woods; brothers, Richard Jones and Hubert Jones.
She is survived by her children, Russell Peth (Phyllis), Charles Mitchell, Caroline Meadows (Paul), Gloria Welch and Shirley Rose (Freddie); and brother, Remer Jones along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 3-6p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 1 p.m. Monday at South Newington Baptist Church. She will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Rev. Steve McCoy will be officiating and the pallbearers will be Robby Chase, David Peth, Clint Peth, Damon Chase, Darien Jones, David Burney, Joshua Powell, Joseph Ford and junior pallbearer Sammie Whitaker.
Interment: Hillcrest Abbey West.
