Mrs. Norma Mae Lanning Davis, 93, of Pooler, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at her home.

Norma will be missed by her daughter, Jeanette R. Stafford; son and daughter-in-law, Scott Davis (Cathy); eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Emma (Will), Helen (Randy), Monet, Linda, Sharon, and Kenny, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

She was born in Perry County, Ohio and had lived in the Savannah area for a number of years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Homer Wesley “Fireball” Davis, Jr.; son, Ricky Lee Davis; son-in-law, Paul Stafford; parents, Virgil B. and Dorothy Potter Lanning; brothers, Gale Lanning, Roger Lanning, and Wilbur Lanning. She was a Christian and a homemaker. She loved her family very much and will be remembered for being a caring person. She enjoyed traveling, especially going on cruises. She sang in the choir and along with her sister Emma, and a cousin, recorded a record. She will be missed.

The visitation will be on Sunday, April 19, 2026 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral to honor Norma’s life will be on Monday, April 20, 2026 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be given to the American Cancer Society in Norma’s name
