Mr. Odell Talley, 72, of Claxton, Georgia and formerly of Meldrim, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

Odell was born in Pembroke, Georgia.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Forestine Talley.  He retired as a Produce Inspector from the Georgia Department of Agriculture.  He enjoyed living on his farm on the outskirts of Claxton watching his cows, fishing, and also was an avid reader.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Nelia Talley; sons, James Allen Talley (Jennifer) and John Christopher Talley (deceased); grandchildren, Emma, Lacey, Achaia, Justus, and Jax; siblings, Faye Griner, Mickey Talley, Joyce Bebee, and Christine Cunningham, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

The memorial service to honor Odell's life will be on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 11 a.m. at his home located at 3772 U.S. Highway 301 in Claxton.
