Ola Mae Kessler Heidt
Springfield - Ola Mae Kessler Heidt, 92, died Monday, January 18, 2010 at Effingham
Extended Care Center.
Born on October 6, 1917 in Rincon, GA to the late Joshua Bunyan and Sarah Beebe
Kessler. Mrs. Heidt was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and a lifetime member of
the GA Salzburger Society. She was a homemaker and a talented musician that began
playing the organ for church services by the age of ten. She was preceded in death by her
husband of 62 years, Paul Arte Heidt.
Survivors include her daughters, Sally (Ryal) Morgan of Clyo and Carole (Bill) Counts of
Sylvania; grandchildren, Stanley (Jennifer) Morgan, G.B. (Cheryl) Ash, Tony (Katy)
Morgan; step-grandchildren, Renae (Durrell) Thompson, Teressa (Bob) Ray;
great-grandchildren, Nikki Ash, Paul Morgan, Austin Morgan, Lydia Morgan;
step-great-grandchildren, Ashley, Haley, Brandon Story, Brittany and Ashley Thompson,
and Logan Ray. Mrs. Heidt is also survived by her loving caregivers, Joyce Wadsworth,
Carol Pointer, Ola Mae Jones, and Juanita Milton.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Bethel Lutheran Church.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
