Olan McCoy

Rincon- Olan McCoy, 78, died Saturday, January 4, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
The Alcolu, SC native was retired from Union Camp and was a charter member of the Rincon Lion's Club. He was an U.S. Army Korean War veteran and a member of First Baptist Church of Rincon. Olan was preceded in death by his daughters, Shai Jones and Shawn McCorkendale.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley K. McCoy; sons, Jody and Jimmy McCoy; three grandchildren, Amber Jones, Austin Jones, and Dallas McCorkendale; two sisters, Harriett Allen and Sue Branson; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 10-11 am Thursday, January 9, 2014 in the funeral home.
Funeral: 11 am Thursday, January 9, 2014 in the funeral home chapel.
Interment: Effingham Memorial Gardens.
