Opal Wellmaker was a woman of God and was not afraid to show or share the word of God. She was born in Claxton, Ga. on October 22, 1950 and passed away on February 24, 2025.
She loved her family dearly. If you ever met Opal, you knew her grand and great-grandchildren were her world. She was also a second mom to many children throughout Bloomingdale.
Opal was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Elma Cameron. She is survived by her husband, Robert (Buddy); her children, Robert (Andy)(Rebecca) and Amanda (Byron); her Grandchildren, Landon, Haven (Chad), and Noah; and her great-grandchildren, Ada Rene' and Kip.
Opals' life will be celebrated at First Baptist Church in Bloomingdale, Georgia, on March 22, 2025, at 11 a.m.
We are coming together to celebrate the wonderful gift God gave us. We want this to be a joyful occasion. Please don't feel that you must wear black. Instead, wear bright, beautiful, and colorful clothes. That's what Opal would want.
