Guyton – Othell Thompson Scarso, 82, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Memorial Health.

The Tattnall County native was retired from Gulfstream Aerospace. She enjoyed sports and was inducted into the Effingham County Sports Hall of Fame.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Scarso; daughter, Luciee Deloach (Frank); son, Greg Rogers; and father of her children, Clifford Rogers.

Survivors include her children, Terri Smith (Ricky) and George Rogers (Jennifer); daughter-in-law, Leisha Rogers; grandchildren, Josh Smith (Tess), Whitney McGregor (Heath), Jason Rogers (Sarah), Justin Rogers, Logan Scarso, and Shelli Nicholson; great-grandchildren, Allison Smith, Lori & Benjamin McGregor, Felicity Rogers, Malena & Ella Nicholson; sister, Eleen Williams; and favorite niece, Patty Francis.

Visitation: 1-2 pm Tuesday, March 22, 2022 in the funeral home.

Funeral: 2 pm Tuesday, March 22, 2022 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment: Effingham Memorial Gardens.
