Pastor Greg Van Gorp, 59, of Savannah, Georgia, went home to Heaven on Tuesday, May 17, 2022.
Greg was born in Evanston, Illinois but spent many years in the Savannah area. He was the pastor of Victory Harvest Ministries of Savannah dba The Bridge Church. He was a loyal Green Bay Packers fan, and enjoyed swimming in the ocean. He was a good husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. He will be remembered for being a very good sheperd to his sheep, and for being a father to the fatherless (Malachi 4:6).
He was preceded in death by his father, Roman Van Gorp. Survivors include his wife, Donna Van Gorp; four children and their spouses, Aaron Joseph Van Gorp (Yariela), Victoria Neff (Royce), Alivia Sparks (Jared), and Gregory Van Gorp, Jr. (Li-ann); grandchildren, Elise Danielle Van Gorp, Seth Michael Sparks, and one due in November; mother, Jacquelyn Van Gorp; siblings, Cecilia Van Gorp, Francesca Van Gorp, Gabrielle Skaja (John), and Christian Van Gorp (fiancé, Jeny), as well several nieces and nephews.
The celebration of Greg's life will be at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2022 at The Bridge Church located at 630 Fort Argyle Road (Highway 204) in Savannah, GA. Flowers ordered by family and friends need to be delivered by the florist to the church.
