Patricia Florence Gossett

Oct 3, 1947 — Oct 20, 2026

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Patricia Florence Gossett, nee LeCocq on October 20, 2026. Born in the Forest Parish, Guernsey, Channel Islands on October 3, 1947 to Alfred and Florence LeCocq.

Pat was preceded in death by her loving parents, Alfred and Florence of Guernsey, her niece Lynette LeCocq, whom she loved very much, and her Guernsey aunts and uncles.

She leaves behind her husband of 34 years, Rick Gossett; her children, Michele Voisine (Terry) and Craig Seymour (Mindy); her step-children, Angie, Sherry, Greg (Amanda), Candace (Alan), Jason (Roni), Adrienne; her brother, Graham LeCocq (Sue, Lee) in Guernsey, Channel Islands. Her grandchildren, Mykel (Hallie), James (Jacquie), Taylor (Jared), Jacob, Jaxon; her step-grandchildren Andrieux, Anjelica, Anthony, McKenzie, Jayden, Arianna, JB; her great-grandchildren: Emma, Olivia, Mezias, Aya, Samuel, Murphy. And her beloved family and friends in Guernsey.

Known to those who loved her as Mum, Nan, and Pat, she never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone. Her family was her world. Pat spent many years as a department and store manager for Rich’s, One Price Clothing stores, and the PX on Fort Stewart.

She loved going on her walks, enjoying an afternoon cuppa, reading her Amish books, knitting, crocheting, and hanging out on the golf course with her husband. Pat loved the outdoors, her tomato garden, Guernsey rain, and the summertime sunshine.

Spaghetti nights, homemade pizza, and Christmas sugar cookies were some of her favorite things to make for her family. She loved watching baseball, whether on TV or at the stadium, especially when her beloved "Bo Sox" were playing.

From riding her bike along the cliffs of Guernsey to living in England and Germany, and eventually settling down in South Georgia, Pat lived a life full of adventures, experiences, and love. Wherever life took her, she made friends and left a lasting impression on those she met along the way.

She loved big and laughed loud.

Pat will be missed more than words can express, but she leaves behind a lifetime of beautiful memories that her family will cherish in their hearts forever.

Have a cuppa tea and hug your loved ones close in her honor. When you feel the sunshine or a crisp winter breeze on your face, know that Pat is right there, enjoying the weather with you.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to her wonderful care team at Effingham Care Center for the love, kindness, and compassion they showed Pat. Your dedication to her care will never be forgotten. Thank you for loving her as your own.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Friday, October 23, 2026 at GA Veterans memorial cemetery in Glennville, GA.
