Patrick R. Childers

Garden City-Patrick R. Childers, 25, died on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at Memorial
Health University Medical Center with his family at his side.

Patrick was born in Augusta and spent his entire life in Garden City. He was a member
of Living Faith Church of God on Hwy 30. Patrick participated in Special Olympics,
enjoyed bowling at Victory Lanes and enjoyed eating out, especially at Carey Hillard's
Restaurant on Highway 80.

Survivors include his parents, Dr. Stanley & Debbie Childers of Pooler; sister, Katie
Childers of Pooler; maternal grandparents, Mary Sparks of Pooler and Buford Sparks, Sr.
of Statesboro; paternal grandparents, Floyd I. "Ike" & Annie Childers of Anderson, SC;
uncles, aunts and cousins, Dr. Terri and Buford "Bubba" Sparks, Jr. of Savannah, Andrew
and Mattthew Sparks of Savannah, Terri White of Pooler, Mike White of Anderson, SC,
Christopher White of Des Moines, Iowa and Wendi Arms of Greer, SC.

Visitation: 5-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Funeral: 1 p.m. on Saturday in the chapel of the funeral home with entombment to follow
at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

The Childers family would like to thank the physicians, nurses and staff at Backus
Children's Hospital of Memorial Health University Medical Center as well as Dr.
William Boswell, Dr. David Carney and Dr. Chris Rittmeyer.
