Guyton, GA—Paul Emory Arnsdorff, 76, died Saturday, January 8th in the care of his family and Hospice Savannah at Effingham Care Center after a long illness. He was the widow of Martha Neidlinger Arnsdorff. He was a prominent farmer in Effingham County as well as a business owner and retiree of Norfolk Southern Railway where he worked for 32 years. He also served in the Georgia National Guard and was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. A native of Springfield he resided on his family farm outside of Guyton for most of his life where he farmed, was an avid hunter and helped to rear his four sons.
Survivors include his sister, Francis A. Hurst and brother, D.M. Arnsdorff both of Springfield; four sons and three daughter-in-laws, Gregory Emory Arnsdorff of Savannah, Alan L. and Patrice Arnsdorff, David T. and Renee Arnsdorff, and Ashley E. and Allison Arnsdorff all of Guyton; six grandchildren and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Thomas C. Strickland and Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bethel Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Bethel Lutheran Church Cemetery.
