Springfield – Paul Jefferson Dickey, Jr., 93, passed away Monday, December 20, 2021 at Effingham Care Center.

The Effingham County native was a member of Springfield United Methodist Church and the Springfield Masonic Lodge. He retired from Union Camp and operated a TV repair shop. The avid outdoorsman had served in the Springfield Unit of the Army National Guard, where he achieved the rank of Major.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Delories Dickey; his son, David Dickey; and his granddaughter, Vanessa Lindsay.

He is survived by his daughter, Susan D. Lindsay; grandsons, Paul Lindsay and John S. Lindsay, III; a brother, Kelly Dickey; and several other relatives.

Visitation will be 2-3 pm Wednesday, December 22, 2021 in the funeral home with service immediately following in the funeral home chapel.

Interment: Springfield Cemetery Annex.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Georgia Wildlife Federation or Tornado Relief in Kentucky.
