Paul Candler Weaver
St. Augustine, FL – Paul Candler Weaver, 88, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2010 at Moultrie Creek Nursing & Rehab Center.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Grady Weaver, his mother, Janie Wilson Weaver Sikes, and one son.
The Effingham County native was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II and a retired commercial shrimper/fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Tatum Weaver of St. Augustine, FL, her relatives, his sister, Miriam W. Jordan of Loganville, GA, his brother, C.M. "Mac" Weaver (Teresa) and half-brother, Dewey W. Sikes both of Springfield, GA; his aunt, Myrtie W. Exley of Rincon, GA, and other relatives. Special mention of his step-daughter-in-law, Michelle Tatum and her husband, Clell, who lived nearby, watched over him and saw to his every need for the past several years. He is also survived by a daughter, son, and grandchildren of unknown locations.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 4, 2010 at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, November 5, 2010 in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will follow in Springfield Cemetery Annex.
