Pauline V. "Polly" Armitage
Springfield- Pauline V. "Polly" Armitage, 79, died Sunday December 9, 2012 at Westview Nursing Home in Port Wentworth.
The Chatham County native was a member of Springfield United Methodist Church and had worked for the Springfield Herald for many years. She had also served in the US Air Force.
Survivors include her husband, Philip R. Armitage; daughter, Brenda Thomas; granddaughter, Jennifer Pontbriand; two great-grandchildren, Logan Pontbriand and Braden Thomas-Folmer; a sister, Ethel McCorkle; a brother, Tommy Lamb; and two nieces.
Visitation: 10-11 am Tuesday, December 11, 2012 in the funeral home.
Graveside Service: 11:30 am Tuesday, December 11, 2012 in Springfield Cemetery.
